Within the international investment allocation, we use ETFs primarily for equities. In international fixed income, we also use them, but with greater caution.
Our partner and Offshore Portfolio Manager, Mario Nevares, CFA, CAIA, CFP®, noted in an interview with Capital Aberto that G5 Partners uses ETFs (Exchange Traded Funds) in international portfolios, mainly in the equity allocation and selectively in fixed income.
He emphasized that approximately 70% of international equity exposure is implemented through ETFs—an approach that combines lower costs, transparency, and liquidity, particularly in a challenging global environment.
