Renan Rego, our CIO, was invited by Exame to write an article for the Panorama Econômico column.  The theme selected was Special Situations funds.

The number of managers dedicated to “Special Sits” in Brazil has increased significantly in recent semesters, with more than 30 players and R$13 billion in available capital. These funds are classified as alternative investments as they exploit market inefficiencies that offer greater risk but with higher return potential involving undervalued assets and complex operations.

Successful managers need to balance caution and discipline when choosing investments, differentiating themselves due to their origination capacity and efficient risk management.
