Luis Otavio Leal, our Partner and Chief Economist, gave an exclusive interview for the \u201cVeja Mercado\u201d program, anchored by reporter Diego Gimenes.<\/p>\n

Moody\u2019s positive outlook for Brazil shows that the country\u2019s growth is surprising the market positively, however, the fiscal framework and solidification and consolidation of fiscal rules suggest it will be difficult for targets to be met in 2024.<\/p>\n

In the same interview, Leal gave his opinion on the 2% inflation target versus the Fed\u2019s decision to maintain the country’s interest rates between 5.25% and 5.5%.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe cut in the US interest rate will depend on data. The post-pandemic economic situation is rebalancing its forces between goods and services. Not just in the US economy, but also worldwide.\u201d<\/p>\n
