G5 Talks is a project through which business leaders exchange experiences and learnings with <\/span>the team at <\/span>G5 <\/span>Partners<\/span>. <\/span>Gabriel Braga, on<\/span>e of the founding partners and CEO of <\/span>QuintoAndar<\/span>, <\/span>was the guest for the <\/span>G5 Talks<\/span> edition <\/span>at the end of May. He <\/span>was joined by Corrado <\/span>Varoli<\/span>, F<\/span>ounding <\/span>P<\/span>artner<\/span> and CEO, <\/span>and <\/span>Levindo<\/span> Santos, S<\/span>enior <\/span>P<\/span>artner<\/span>.<\/span> During the conversation, Gabriel <\/span>talked about <\/span>his entrepreneurial journey<\/span> since the beginning until now, <\/span>and how he <\/span>views <\/span>the <\/span>ongoing <\/span>transformations in the real estate market, <\/span>as well as <\/span>the impacts <\/span>caused by <\/span>the Covid-19 pandemic <\/span>to <\/span>the market. Gabriel recalled the beginning of <\/span>QuintoAndar<\/span>, shortly after <\/span>he arrived from earning his <\/span>MBA at Stanford, California. It <\/span>was a battle that lasted <\/span>several years, always with <\/span>limited <\/span>money, until he and his partner, Andr\u00e9 Penha, managed to get the startup off the ground and t<\/span>urn it into <\/span>one of the icons of digital entrepreneurship in Latin America. \u201c<\/span>What I learned from this experience <\/span>is<\/span> that we need to be more passionate about <\/span>the problem than the solution. Throughout this journey, I tried to combine conviction and determination on one hand<\/span>,<\/span> with humility on the other. This was essential for me to adjust to the challenges <\/span>we faced <\/span>and not give up along the way,\u201d he <\/span>stated<\/span>. Gabriel also talked about how he reinvented himself and learned throughout the process <\/span>so he could <\/span>grow with the company and <\/span>become <\/span>qualif<\/span>ied <\/span>to manage a business of relevant size. \u201c<\/span>Now, I am not able to <\/span>follow everything that <\/span>goes on at the company <\/span>closely. <\/span>There comes a time when you need to <\/span>operate<\/span> with <\/span>instruments and understand the business in layers.\u201d<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
